Among the most common phobias, visiting the dentist causes many people severe anxiety and stress. Often, fearful patients forego necessary dental care to avoid a visit to their dentist. If you find yourself feeling panicky at the thought of having your teeth worked on, you should know that a safe, comfortable relaxation method exists.

Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous oxide sedation, commonly called laughing gas, is the most commonly used sedation for dental offices. Because of its long history of safely providing rapidly reversible mild sedation, we often recommend it for anxious patients. We have found it especially useful with children in combination with cartoons on our HD television. By creating a positive experience for children, we are able to eliminate the anxiety many adult patients have. Ensuring they will seek necessary dental care throughout their lives.

I.V. Sedation

For the moderate to severely anxious patient we provide access to I.V. sedation. We work with registered Nurse Anesthetists to provide the safest care, we strongly feel having the anesthesia managed by these professionals, allows Dr. Simon to concentrate on the necessary surgery.
